AMTRA FILTERING BOX BLACK 150 is an internal filter for aquariums called” “Italian” “for its internal division into 3 compartments.
The water enters the filter through the grates placed in the lower and upper part of the first compartment. It is very important to have a suction part from the surface as this allows you to eliminate the annoying bacterial patina that can form on the surface of the water, very harmful because it does not allow the correct gas / water exchange (useful to disperse carbon dioxide CO2 that is formed in water and to oxygenate the water itself) and because it does not allow the correct penetration of light, indispensable for the growth of plants and corals. An aquarium heater (not included in the package) can also find space in this first compartment.

The water then passes into the second compartment where it passes through the filter materials. The following filter media are included as standard in the filter (in order of positioning from top to bottom in this compartment)
1) AMTRA BIOCELL WHITE PAD (fine white fiber for mechanical pre-filtering. We recommend rinsing this material every 7-10 days and replacing it every 20-30 days)
2) AMTRA AXORB (activated carbon of mineral origin. We recommend rinsing this material every 7-10 days and replacing it every 15-20 days)
3) AMTRA BIOCELL BLACK FOAM (black sponge for mechanical filtration. We recommend rinsing this material every 20-30 days and replacing it every 60-90 days)
4) AMTRA GLAX STONE ULTRA (ultra porous sintered glass stones for the installation of filtering bacteria. This type of material must be touched as little as possible. It is recommended to rinse it in the same aquarium water previously placed in a basin every 5-6 months paying attention to perform the operation with maximum speed without leaving the material dry for too long and without ever washing it directly under running water. This is essential in order not to lose the bacterial flora present in the material. of operation it is essential to add a dose of bacterial activator to the aquarium, such as AMTRA CLEAN PROCULT, culture of immediately active live bacteria, or AMTRA PROCLEAN X in ampoules)

Part of the material referred to in No. 4 and 5 will also be found in the lower part of the third compartment in which the circulation pump is housed (included in the package with an hourly flow rate of 520 lt / h and consumption of 4.3 Watts, MODEL AMTRA STREAM 480) . The outlet hole for the pump delivery is located in the upper part of this compartment. Pipe, fittings, “” gooseneck swivel outlet “” are all accessories included in the package.

The filter is equipped with 6 suction cups in the back to allow installation in any type of aquarium. In the upper part there are also two specific hooks compatible with the aquariums of the AMTRA SYSTEM LED series.
