AMTRA POND PREXURE FILTER – line of external pressure filters for ponds equipped with backwashing and automatic cleaning and rinsing system of the filtration sponges.

AMTRA PREXURE it is an easy-to-install canister filter. Working “under pressure” it can also be buried up to the level of the head where the water inlet and outlet are positioned.
Inside it combines biological and mechanical filtration with UVC sterilization, thus allowing both to purify the water extremely efficiently and to eliminate pathogenic germs and suspended green algae that cause unsightly clouding or “green water” in ornamental ponds.

On AMTRA PREXURE, in addition to the classic counter-washing function, an innovative automatic mechanical cleaning function of the filter sponges has been designed. This allows the removal of suspended dirt particles that are deposited on the filter sponges without having to open the filter and thus without affecting the filtering bacterial flora.
Normally the sucked up debris and bacterial flocculations that give rise to the formation of purification sludge clog the sponges thus reducing the water flow and therefore the effectiveness of the filter.
For this reason the filter sponges must be cleaned regularly, approximately every 1-2 weeks. On AMTRA PREXURE this operation takes place automatically, without having to open the filter, simply by turning the function selector from “filtration” to “backwash”: the filter will then be switched to cleaning mode and the motor that drives the gear will automatically start. cleaning that compresses and rotates the sponges thus obtaining mechanical cleaning of the same. Dirt is removed through the action of counter washing. The dirty water is expelled from the specific “waste water” outlet, thus preventing it from re-entering the pond.
